Freeze-dried Food Basics: Real Food Made Simple

This practical class will focus on using freeze-dried foods in everyday life, including meal planning, food storage, preparedness, and simple ways to make healthy eating more convenient. You can store food safely and reduce waste by using freeze-dried foods. Meals can be quick, convenient, and still made with simple, wholesome ingredients. 

 

Christine is the co-founder of Oh My Goodness Farm, a small family business focused on helping people use freeze-dried foods. What began as a way to store food has grown into a practical system for keeping real, nourishing options available when they are needed most.

Intro to Herbal Processes

Students will be making infused oils and creating salves and creams that can be used in herbal healing. Both new and returning students are welcome, all supplies provided.

When severe weather impacts our area, having a simple plan in place can make a difficult situation feel more manageable. This workshop focuses on practical, no-stress ways to prepare an emergency bucket using freeze-dried foods and essential supplies. Participants will learn how to build a compact “go bucket” (with guidance for expanding to a 5-gallon version), including a clear list of must-have items and helpful additions. You’ll also learn how to choose freeze-dried foods that can be eaten as they are or quickly reconstituted, making them ideal for situations where cooking options may be limited.
