The Technical Certificate in Construction Technology at UA Northark prepares students for high-demand careers in the construction industry by providing hands-on training in core building and trade skills.
This program provides students with current skills in residential and light commercial construction with emphasis on green building techniques and materials. Topics include framing, electrical, plumbing, cabinet making and more. Also, training is available for facilities maintenance to prepare students for this high-demand, high-wage area. Internships are available for students interested in improving their technical skills and making contacts within the industry.
Designed to meet the needs of today’s skilled trades workforce, the Construction Technology program emphasizes practical experience and job-ready skills. Students learn essential construction methods including carpentry, structural systems, material handling, measurement and layout, and OSHA-aligned safety practices.
