Transfers Made Simple

UA Northark can launch a student into almost any career. UA Northark offers several two-year degrees useful for transfer purposes including the Associate of Arts and Associate of Science. Your advisor can work with you to customize a plan to guide your transfer to the college/university and major you choose. Also, you can use the Arkansas Course Transfer System from the Arkansas Department of Higher Education to see which courses are guaranteed to transfer between institutions.

Articulation agreements are formal agreements or partnerships between two or more colleges and universities to simplify the process of transferring to four-year institutions. Students can transfer to many different colleges and universities, but to make that process easier, UA Northark has entered into articulation agreements with several institutions.

Arkansas Transfer Achievement Scholarship

Because of UA Northark's affiliation with the University of Arkansas System, the Arkansas Transfer Achievement Scholarship (ATAS) reduces the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville's base undergraduate tuition rate per credit hour to the equivalent in-district UA Northark tuition rate. Differential tuition rates (such as Walton College of Business, College of Engineering, Nursing, or Architecture) are charged at published rates. All applicable student fees also apply. The scholarship does not cover consortium rates, developmental instruction, or self-paced online correspondence.

The following information addresses common questions about transferring to the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville and the Arkansas Transfer Achievement Scholarship (ATAS). How does the tuition transfer scholarship work?

Students who earn a transfer associate degree from a University of Arkansas System-affiliated institution may be eligible for ATAS. For example, a student who earns an associate degree from a two-year UA System institution and transfers to the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville may continue paying the tuition rate charged by the two-year institution. The scholarship may be applied during consecutive semesters until the student earns a bachelor’s degree, provided the student meets all scholarship requirements each semester.

Which UA Northark programs are eligible for the transfer scholarship?

Students who earn an Associate of Arts degree or one of the following Associate of Science degrees from UA–Northark may be eligible for ATAS when transferring to the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville:

Can students take online classes through the University of Arkansas and still receive ATAS?

ATAS does not apply to fully online degree programs, developmental courses, or self-paced correspondence courses.

If a student earns a transfer associate degree from UA Northark while still in high school, will they qualify for ATAS??

Yes. Students who earn an eligible associate degree from UA–Northark while still enrolled in high school may be eligible for the Arkansas Transfer Achievement Scholarship, provided they meet all other scholarship requirements.
